The Laughter Experience by Semaj Williams
Overview
Studies show the average child laughs 400 times a day. As adults we tend to take ourselves too seriously and only laugh an average of 15 times a day. Laughter relieves stress, reduces anxiety, increases self-confidence, discharges physical and emotional tension, and improves immune functions. With Laughter Therapy, Semaj uses breath, movement and sound, instead of humor, to induce laughter. Everyone laughs and everyone leaves feeling better. Groups: 2 hour, half day, and full day programs

Services

Description
Semaj Williams spent five years as a teen substance abuse counselor and 18 years as a staff trainer for the Department of Juvenile Justice. He participated in his first laughter workshop when searching for a way to deal with job-related stress and avoid burnout.
Semaj found laughter to be such a fun and effective tool that he became a Certified Laughter Leader (CLL). Now he brings “the best medicine” into private homes, non-profit organizations, schools, government agencies, and workplaces.
