Loving Arms Doula Care by Donna Cangialosi, PCD
Overview
My job as a postpartum doula is to smooth the transition when new baby (or babies) comes home. My primary focus is on the new mom. I "mother the mother" by attending to her physical, practical, and emotional needs, I offer breastfeeding & newborn care guidance & assist with tasks like baby’s laundry, preparing bottles & making light meals. I care for baby while mom eats, showers, naps, or attends to siblings. Doula care can decrease mom's stress by providing non-judgmental support.
