With modern medicine, so much can be done to keep the heart pumping, the blood
flowing, and the organs functioning. Doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff work
long hours to help people maintain and improve their health.
Medical care, however, is only part of the wellness picture. Wellness
Possibilities Providers are independent professionals who offer a wide variety
of services to help people incorporate wellness into their everyday lives.
Management Team
Kathy Smyly
Miller, Chief Executive Officer
Kathy Smyly Miller was raised outside the lines of conventional medicine. She
learned from her parents at a very young age about the mind-body connection and
studied with a wide variety of holistic health professionals who taught her
tools and techniques for living well -- physically, mentally/emotionally and
spiritually.
Kathy focused on Women's Studies at the University of South Florida and became
certified as a Natural Childbirth Coach, later giving birth to her own two
children at home and underwater. Kathy has found that these coaching skills
also apply to business relationships, helping her to play leading roles as a
business manager, consultant, and entrepreneur.
Kathy has been running and growing businesses since 1994. In 2009, she was
honored by NJBiz as one of New Jersey's "Best 50 Women in Business".
Kathy is an advocate for proactively exploring a wide variety of wellness
services and community activities to live healthier, happier and easier. She is
adept at facilitating conversations that reach the heart of a situation to help
clients and colleagues connect to valuable insights and new possibilities. Her
training and experiences have given her the ability to work with others on a
personal level that is deeply powerful.
Kathy's skills as a business manager, consultant and entrepreneur along with
her passion for being proactive about wellness make her the ideal CEO for
Wellness Possibilities.
Dawn Noble, Chief Marketing Officer
After graduating from Rutgers University with a Bachelor Degree in Nursing,
Dawn began her career in the traditional healthcare setting, a hospital. She
quickly moved into management roles and became experienced in a variety of
healthcare settings, including home care, nursing homes, and pharmacy
environments.
Dawn has extensive experience in all phases of start-up operations for a
multi-state, multi-million dollar institutional pharmacy, including policy and
procedure development, state and federal pharmacy and nursing regulations and
laws, physical space design and build-out, business planning and development
through growth and acquisition.
Dawn successfully launched her own business in 2001 and was asked to author the
How To book for Professional Organizers. Her book How To Start A Home-Based
Professional Organizing Business was published in April of 2007. She has
received numerous awards for her management and marketing abilities as well as
for her vision and leadership in the nursing world.
Dawn started exploring holistic modalities during her personal journey from
infertility to natural conception and childbirth. She now has two beautiful
daughters, daily reminders of how alternative and complementary services can
impact health.
As a speaker, Dawn draws on her professional experiences and sense of humor to
create an inspiring, educational, and enthusiastic message about balancing
conventional and holistic options. She has inspired thousands with her
humor-filled presentations and workshops, at community events and in Fortune
500 companies.
Cristian A. Ossa, Chief Information Officer & VP Operations
Cristian A. Ossa was the Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President
of Operations at GiftCertificates.com where he was responsible for all
technology implementations - including the website, all support applications,
and the fulfillment and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. He led
a staff of over 250, including 40 Technologists - developers, database
administrators, designers, and analysts, customer service representatives,
security specialists and fulfillment staff. He was instrumental in designing
the GiftCertificates.com's internal application - GiftSoft, which allowed the
company to better understand and track its customers. Cristian was also
responsible for assuring a top-quality fulfillment operation which was able to
ship over 10,000 pieces of mail in a 24 hour shift.
Cristian holds an MBA (Honors) from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst,
as well as a Bachelor of Arts also from the University of Massachusetts,
Amherst. Prior to his position at GiftCertificates.com, he was the CEO of
eRateRequest.com, a shipping and logistics portal. eRateRequest.com (renamed
www.NeoModal.com) was sold to Descartes systems (NASDAQ: DSGX).
Joe Bergamo, VP of Engineering
After graduating from University of Delaware in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Computer Science, Joe worked as a Computer Programmer for an
insurance company in New York City. In 1985, he was hired into a New
Jersey-based consulting company and spent the next 5 years developing computer
applications for the telecommunications industry.
In 1990, Joe opened Bergamo & Associates, Inc., a firm dedicated to
providing professional computer consulting. The company is still providing
services to the Fortune 500. In 1998, as the popularity of the internet grew
and the need for all businesses to have a web presence increased, Joe founded
Full Service Web Sites, a company focused on providing complete internet and
web site service & support.
On a personal note, Joe married Karen, his high school sweetheart, in 1983 and
they are the proud parents of three boys, Joseph, Michael and Vincent.
Board of Advisors
Debra K. Houston
Debra K. Houston is president and founder of DKH Solutions, LLC, a company
serving the financial needs of businesses.
Debra's background is in corporate finance and sales operations at Fortune 100
pharmaceutical companies, where she worked for over twenty years. She is
experienced in managing cross-functional teams and working with all levels of
management. Debra has transferred these skills to her own company, where she
assists other businesses in meeting their goals and realizing their financial
potential with a passion for helping start-up companies structure themselves
for growth and success.
Debra holds a BBA in Accountancy, is a Certified Management Accountant, and
holds a degree in Financial Planning. She is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor
and is an active member of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners.
Kenny Moore
Kenny Moore is President of Kenny Moore Consulting, LLC. He's a well-regarded
Keynote speaker, executive coach and business consultant for Leadership
Development, Change Management and Employee Engagement. He is also the
